Campaigning resources Strategies and tools for activists

Welcome to Friends of the Earth's campaigning resources site – your one-stop shop for all the information and materials you need to campaign on key environmental issues.

The campaigning guides cover Friends of the Earth's priority campaigns. They'll walk you through the problems we face, how we can solve them, and what you can do.

You'll also find some general resources to support your campaigning, including how-to guides on key skills, important policies and guidance, information on applying for a grant from the local group fund, and how to order materials.

And the latest section pulls out the most recent updates and news.

If you're a Friends of the Earth local group member, make sure you're signed up to community emails to stay in the loop via our monthly newsletter.

And if you're not yet a Friends of the Earth local group but would like to join our network, welcome! Check out our guide to setting up a group.

Our network is merging

As you'll know, since 2019 we have supported our Friends of the Earth Local Groups and Climate Action Groups in different ways. So that we can better support our growing network we’ll be merging the two network strands together over the next few months, to allow a consistent onboarding process for new groups, and a new central website resource to support your campaigning activity and momentum.

We’ll be closing this website and moving over our resources and information to takeclimateaction.co.uk by December. For now, you can still use this site to register, apply for local group funding, access insurance information and general group development support, but for some of this, you may be directed to takeclimateaction.uk

Coronavirus

We will continue to monitor government advice on the subject and will review our guidance accordingly. Please do check back regularly.
