Let’s work together to defeat fracking

The campaign against fracking is led by local people across the UK who are fighting to keep their communities frack-free. Friends of the Earth is proud to stand with them.

Fracking releases greenhouse gases which contribute to climate breakdown. This is unacceptable at a time when we need to keep 80% of fossil fuels underground. Local communities could be at risk from earthquakes, pollution and the industrialisation of the countryside.

There should be no fracking in the UK – or anywhere. This is the place to find all the information and resources you need to get involved. These pages tell you more about the risks of fracking and how you can get involved to stop it.
