United for Warm Homes campaign

Soaring gas prices mean millions of us are worried that we won’t be able to keep our homes warm this winter. Meanwhile, oil and gas companies continue to make record-breaking profits.

We have the solutions to cut bills and emissions. But we need the government to act now.

Across the country, grassroots groups are forming partnerships with others in their communities to help protect our most vulnerable from the impacts of rising bills and demand the right to a warm home.

If you and your group would like to get involved and help end fuel poverty, head to United for Warm Homes and sign up to the campaign.

Mayoral elections 2024

In May 2024 over 45% of voters in England will be able to vote for their next elected combined authority mayor or the Mayor of London.

In the run-up to the elections this May, we have an opportunity to scrutinise mayoral candidates’ plans for climate and nature and to secure greater ambition from them through various campaigning tactics and our mayoral pledge.

Find out how to campaign for ambitious climate action in these regions.

Fossil free future

Across the world we are seeing the devastating impacts of climate breakdown because of our reliance on coal, gas and oil.

But communities have been standing up to the fossil fuel giants and our government’s support of them. We can all play our part in ending support for fossil fuels at home and abroad. We've already had some brilliant successes, but we've still got a long way to go.

Find out more about how you and your group can get involved to help put an end to UK government support for fossil fuels.

An image of an oil rig at sea. The sun is setting an the sky is a beautiful medley of colours, contrasted with the dark blue sea. It's a real shame the oil rig in the sea is so ugly.

Climate Action Plan for Councils

Councils up and down the country have declared climate emergencies. But what happens next?

We need councils to turn their political promises in to concrete action by adopting a climate action plan, and transforming their communities into fairer, more sustainable places for generations to come.

To help get them started, we’ve created a template Climate Action Plan for councils in England and Wales. Find out how you can help get that plan in place.
